What to Wear: Outdoor Festival

What to wear to an outdoor festival

Since events are such a big part of our lives in Dallas, we’ve teamed up with Nasty Gal to bring you a series to “What to Wear” posts, and today we are launching it with festival style. If you were anything like me in college, the term “outdoor festival” meant Coachella, Ultra, Bonaroo – the types of festivals where everything went, but (with the exception of Coachella) comfort was more important than style. Flash forward to today and the term “outdoor festival” refers to a much broader sense in my mind. With outdoor festivals in the Arts District, live classical music in Klyde Warren Park, late nights at the Nasher, culinary festivals in Bishop Arts, the term festival doesn’t necessary mean it’s time to toss on the fanny pack and flower crown anymore.

When I found this dress, it was love at first sight – so much that I called my best friend and she ordered the same one! What I love most about it is that it’s so easy to dress up or dress down for any occasion. Since gladiators are such a summer staple (and a must-have festival shoe), I paired the dress with my favorite nude gladiator heels for a boho emphasis. I kept accessories to a minimum with my go-to gold statement earrings and a delicate choker – which I definitely recommend since a long necklace may interfere with the light and flowy shape. Check out my festival look below and shop the links to order the same! (And I’m not lying when I say I’ve worn this literally non-stop since I bought it!)
