Any roommate that has ever lived with me will know that I’ve always been a “nightie” kind of girl. With the exception of my silk pant pajama set I wear on occasion (generally traveling), a nightgown is always my #1 choice for sleepwear. With that in mind, it’s safe to say I have my array for occasions – the lacy/silk nighty for a pretty sleep, the cute cotton nightie for loungewear, and of course my favorite tradition: the Christmas gown.. which can ONLY be worn once a year.
Though each nightie has their purpose, I recently discovered a new sleepwear line with its own purpose – and little did I know, this line happens to be based out of my hometown! Introducing Bishop Sleepwear: the softest little nightie that serves more of a purpose than just sleeping. For each nightgown purchased, Bishop Sleepwear donates a portion of every sale to the Baby Center in Kenya.
Apart from the charitable aspect of the line, Bishop Sleepwear also features a built-in bra to give you support while sleeping. Ok let’s be real, a non-busty girl like me really doesn’t need support in my sleep, BUT I do love the way this extra lining keeps me from over-exposing myself in a chilly room and keeps me covered when worn as loungewear. My favorite part about this gown (besides the comfort factor) is that I finally have a nightie that can be disguised as daytime wear – chic tank dress, anyone?
