Stocking up on beauty favorites without braving the mall crowd is always a dream, and with the new Bluemercury opening in Highland Park Village this month, this dream just became a reality… and we are obsessed! Though I first discovered Bluemercury in their Buckhead location, the newest HP Village location marks the first store in Texas!
I had the opportunity to interview founder Marla Beck before the event (who started the retail boutique in 1999 with husband Barry) and loved getting to know more about the brand. Marla created the boutique as a way to stock up on all of her favorite beauty products by providing a more personal and intimate makeover experience than shopping at major department stores! Bluemercury was the first of its kind and has now expanded to 65 stores across the nation! Marla and Barry also launched their own skincare line called M-61, which has been added to my daily beauty routine now and I love it! With endless products such as cosmetics, sunscreen, tanning lotions, skincare, and candles, as well as its own in-store spa, Bluemercury has something for everyone (guys too!).
Marla and Barry Beck, along with Kaleta Blaffer Johnson, Brooke Hortenstine, and Caroline Summers, hosted a celebratory opening event for the new location on Wednesday. With mini makeovers, Sprinkles cupcakes, champagne, and more, we had so much fun being a part of the launch!
