Club Med Turkoise

Anyone who has spent any time around us will know that Club Med is our idea of the perfect vacation. Ever since we visited our first resort at a very young age, Club Med has become an annual (sometimes bi-annual) destination for our family. Now you may think, what makes this resort any different from all other all-inclusive resorts? To answer that, however, is only completely understood when you step foot on this resort.

We grew up in a household that never stopped. From school to cheer to dance to tennis, we always enjoyed a non-stop lifestyle. Yes, not going to lie, I can totally chill out on a beach chair and soak in the sun, but it’s that much better when it’s interrupted by a random “crazy signs” dance party mid-way… and this is why Club Med is our spot.

Though the club began in the 50s as an adults-only getaway, over the years these resorts have embraced a more family-oriented (or at least “less rowdy” if you are referring to the “adults only” spots) vibe, making it the perfect spot for any age or group. One of our favorite and unique aspects of Club Med is the “G.O.’s”, or shall we say the vibrant, young employees that feel more like your best friend than a hotel worker by the end of the week. Whether they are joining your family for dinner in the resort, flying on a double trapeze with you after a day at the pool, or dancing all night in the disco with the family, a G.O. makes sure you have a memorable and incredible week. Also, for anyone traveling with kids – the kids club is absolutely fantastic!

We spotlighted Club Med Martinique earlier this year, so today we want to spotlight another one of our favorite resorts: Club Med Turkoise on Providenciales Island in Turks & Caicos. Though we had always traveled to the family resorts over the years, we switched it up and visited this “adults only” resort for New Years… and let’s just say for our age group, it was absolutely perfect!

What’s best about this resort is there’s a little something for everyone. With activities every hour on the hour, we can always disappear for whatever activity (or spa treatment) we desire, but yet still met up after and maintain the family vacation we traveled together to experience! The resort can be as active or relaxing as you want, which is why it works so well for our family!

** If you are divers like us, we highly recommend you block off one morning for a scuba trip. The clear waters and colorful reefs make this an absolute must-see!

Another favorite aspect of the resort is the nightlife. No, I don’t mean those raging Caribbean clubs you may have visited during the Spring Break era, but more so the perfect amount of entertainment to cap off your day. With cocktails and activities, such as salsa dancing, before dinner, a hilarious show comprised of all of our favorite G.O.’s, an insanely energetic round of crazy signs to get everyone on the dance floor, and a night spent bonding with all of the other guests… From morning to night, the fun never stops.

One thing to note before booking a stay at Club Med is that the rooms are not as glamorous as one might expect for the price – That being said, this is what adds to the charm of Club Med. With endless activities, serene beaches, and adventurous excursions, lounging in a hotel room is generally the last thing that comes to mind as a guest.
