WHAT TO WEAR: Date Night

We recently started a new “What to Wear” series with Nasty Gal, and we featured what to wear to an outdoor festival (see here). Today we are sharing a go-to “date night” look. The hardest part about any date is deciding what to wear – you never want to look overdressed, nor do you want to look underdressed – just that simple, feminine look that says “oh I just threw this on”… despite the hour-long changing sesh.

A strappy summer dress is always my first choice for date night (whether it’s the first date or a special night out with a bf), because there’s something about a flirty dress that is feminine and sophisticated. Paying attention to fabric and shape is always key to choosing the right dress – silks and sequins are definitely too much, and a dress that’s fitted but not too short is always appropriate.
