The 90s Turtleneck

90s turtleneck scrunchie

As a mid-twenties-something today, I was among the girls growing up in the heyday of Limited Too: the glory days of closets stocked full of 90s sweaters, velvet everything, and way too many hair accessories to begin to count. If you were one too, you know EXACTLY what I am talking about – bring on the nostalgia. Striped ribbed turtlenecks were always a favorite among these shopping sprees, so it’s no surprise the return of the turtleneck is quite the excitement for my “adult” status today. Whether it’s the memories or simply the fact I love dark neutrals (hello grunge), 90s fashion is one of my favorite styles.

To update the turtleneck for a fresh Fall look, I paired it with a pair of high waist wax-coated skinnies, lace-up heels, and a simple black scrunchie – because, why not. Though this exact sweater is currently out of stock, I linked a handful of options for you to peruse through below. If cropped tops and skinnies aren’t your style, try pairing it with a high-waist pencil, flared mini, wide-leg pants, or chic overalls! Check out my 90s look below and shop the links to get my style!
