Last week we shared the Nasher as our favorite spot in Dallas to visit when we are seeking a bit of culture for the Longchamp Secret City campaign, and today I am sharing my favorite place to kick back when I want to relax: Klyde Warren Park.
For those of you who aren’t from Dallas, Klyde Warren Park is unlike any traditional city park. The unique, urban green space was built over Woodall Rogers Freeway in 2012 to connect vibrant Uptown with the flourishing Arts District and Downtown. The park brings together cultural experiences and active lifestyles, while creating a communal environment between the differing neighborhoods.
Since we spend the majority of our work days inside, we love taking advantage of any opportunity to be outside. One of our favorite activities to take advantage of in the park is the free concerts. Packing a blanket and grabbing a bite from one of the local food trucks is the perfect way to switch up our routine and wind down from a busy day. When we’re feeling a bit dressier, we love grabbing an outdoor table at Savor to sip cocktails and enjoy the delicious menu on the outdoor patio. Whichever vibe we are feeling, no night is better than one paired with live music.
Apart from the concerts, the park offers so many more activities for any interest! Free fitness classes, an outdoor library, children’s playground, croquet, chess, and a dog park are only a handful of the countless amenities provided – though the ever-changing festivals, live performances, and even the occasional mime make every experience at Klyde Warren Park unique!
One of my tricks for dressing for a night out is to pick one item and coordinate my outfit around it. Since I am in love with my new Longchamp Pliage Heritage, I wanted to keep the bag as the spotlight of my look. I paired the bag with my favorite midi skirt and a simple white blouse for a simple and sophisticated look for an evening at Savor. I added these amazing new Kendra Scott earrings to add a pop to my look. Whether you plan to dress up for date night or stop by in yoga clothes, the park is an eclectic mix of all styles – so come one, come all!
