Beach Ready With Modcloth

Happy Friday! As you saw on insta, I spent the week in St. Thomas in the Caribbean with my bestie at the Ritz Carlton for a week of R&R. There’s no denying I am happiest when I’m spending my days outside by the water, so I’ve made it my goal to spend at least one weekend a month on some sort of beach for the summer season!

Packing light has never really been my speciality, but traveling with simply a carry-on saves so much time at the airport, so I’ve attempted to cut back on my travel wardrobe and only pack necessities. That being said, my necessities for St. Thomas involved a giant inflatable Flamingo float, which quickly became the most sought after beach accessory for the entire hotel. Though you may wonder WHY I would tote a giant beach float all the way to the Caribbean, it’s actually quite compact before being blown up – and who wouldn’t want to soak up the sun on a float as fun as this?! The flamingo was definitely my favorite, but Modcloth has all sorts of inflatables from swans to pineapples to froyo and more!

Now that it’s officially swimsuit season, I’m more than pumped to start stocking up on new swimsuits. Though I’ve always been a bikini type of girl, I just snagged my first one piece and I have to admit, I am completely OBSESSED! One pieces have been making a major comeback over the past year or so, and I finally decided to try out the trend with this new swimsuit from Modcloth.

I always thought one pieces were simply a style to look modest, but after snagging this cut out black swimsuit, I realized I was completely wrong! The high-cut sides elongate your legs, and the cut out details give a flirty touch to the simple shape. This one piece is incredibly flattering and would be a perfect suit for any style. I am completely sold on one pieces, and can’t wait to order more suits – perhaps this one or this one! From classic solids to quirky patterns (dinosaurs or hamburgers, anyone?), Modcloth has such a range of fun, must-have swimsuits for any body type for summer!
