When we travel, we love seeking out unique boutique hotels to experience a new side of every city. Discovering hotels with a taste of the city’s charm not only gives a more personalized stay, but it also introduces us to culture and history of the cities we visit. I recently spent a week in Colorado exploring Denver, and I fell in love with a local hotel that I’m so excited to share with you guys: Hotel Teatro.
Walking into Hotel Teatro, you’re greeted with rich colors, industrial charm, and black and white photographs that represent a modern twist on the hotel’s long history. Though the 1911 Denver Tramway Building was transformed into Hotel Teatro in 1997 and renovated again in 2007, the original architecture remains a glamourous contrast to the contemporary decor. Located in the heart of Downtown Denver, Hotel Teatro is the perfect location to explore the city – and the hotel’s friendly valet service offers complimentary rides around Denver at all times!
Rather than a traditional hotel lobby, Hotel Teatro’s Study creates an inviting and cozy setting to dive into the wall of books or grab an evening cocktail and relax fireside. Step across the hotel and satisfy your cravings at The Nickel with their seasonal menu serving up modern farm-to-table American cuisine, or indulge in the restaurant’s extensive wine and cheese menu for a lighter bite.
Once you’ve explored the hotel, it’s time to check into one of the hotel’s 110 luxury rooms and suites for guests. I stayed in the Deluxe Corner King with floor-to-ceiling views of the city, so waking up in a pillowtop king bed surrounded by Denver was definitely my kind of stay! The rainforest shower head was so refreshing, but the deep-soaking tubs were the ultimate form of relaxation and pampering! The hotel also offers 24-hour in-room dining, so sleeping in and taking advantage of the comfort was easy to do!
Whether you’re looking for a quick weekend getaway or perhaps a luxurious base for a week of exploring, Hotel Teatro is a fabulous destination for your next Denver visit. Click here to learn more about the hotel and stay tuned for more of our hotel spotlights to come! Xo
