Southern Style: Ellen For Draper James

Ellen Flowers Draper James (3 of 20)

Happy Friday! As Blair mentioned the other day, the three of us are featured on the Draper James blog this week styling pieces from their newest collection and sharing a bit about our personal style. While Blair favors timeless pieces and Janie’s wardrobe revolves around comfort, my style is a bit more… unpredictable, shall we say? (Click here to read my interview – or click to read about Blair or Janie)

One reason I love living in Dallas is the city is so glamorous, and there is always an excuse to dress up. Mixing in the Texas elements of cowboy boots and turquoise, Dallas has a very unique style that allows women to really go all out for occasions. Like I always say, it’s better to be overdressed then underdressed!

With pastels, florals, and feminine pieces having such a strong influence in fashion these days, it’s no surprise my wardrobe has been appearing a bit softer. From flirty hemlines to sophisticated silhouettes, I’ve really been loving the shift towards classic, elegant pieces. This new dress from Draper James embodies all of my favorite trends of the moment, and it’s a perfect dress for any occasion – office, luncheon, Sunday church, date night, etc.

Check out my look below and be sure to read each of our interviews on Draper James! Interviews: Blair, Ellen, & Janie
