Southern Style: Janie For Draper James

When Draper James asked me what my favorite Southernism was for my style feature on their blog, it reminded me why I loved the South so much. While everyone favors where they came from, we are extremely grateful for our Southern roots. Growing up in a place where everyone is abnormally friendly, manners are a way of life, food is fried or served in casserole form, and we have our own phrases gracefully known as Southernisms. What can we say, it made us who we are today.

We’ve had so much fun partnering with Draper James for our three style features to share our favorite looks from the new collection. Since the three of us are so much alike, it’s no surprise Ellen and I chose the same print. You may recognize this floral botanical print from this post, but it’s so lovely we decided to style both!

When asked about my style it’s a bit of a mix between Blair and Ellen’s. I love investment pieces and timeless styles like Blair and I also love trendy outfits and bold accessories like Ellen, but the number one word to describe my personal style is: comfort. My go-to style is always a favorite pair of skinny jeans, my Chanel flats, and a cozy sweater. Why spend the day is an outfit that doesn’t feel comfortable? That’s my opinion.

As soon as I saw this blouse, I knew I would wear it ALL. THE. TIME. I paired it with skinny jeans, nude pumps, and my favorite handbag for a Spring date night look. I love how I can wear it with a navy pencil skirt and pumps for a day at the office, or pair it with skinnies and flats for weekend brunch. It’s completely versatile, which I adore.
