Ever since Blair bought a house last year, she’s been on a serious decorating kick – and not going to lie, it has given me some extra motivation to redecorate my place as well. While I tend to go for a simple, modern style, Blair mixes timeless antiques with contemporary pieces, which gives a chic and homey feel to her space.

One of my favorite additions to Blair’s home is the custom antelope rug she ordered for her living room. The subdued hue is the perfect neutral, and the animal print pattern livens up the room – a perfect contrast with traditional antiques. Though an animal-print area rug can seem overwhelming at first, it’s surprisingly subtle when paired with furniture. Best of all, the print is very forgiving – and since it’s inevitable spills WILL happen, it’s nice to know the rug can hide imperfections!
