While I love exploring new cities, my favorite type of getaway these days is a resort that allows me to relax, unwind, and really enjoy the atmosphere around me. I recently visited The Landing Resort and Spa in Lake Tahoe, and this hotel was the ultimate oasis. The luxurious and serene hotel settled lakeside near Heavenly Village was the perfect place to relax after a day of skiing!
After my stay at The Landing Resort and Spa, it’s no surprise this hotel has won countless awards for its luxurious accommodations. As Lake Tahoe’s only luxury five-star lakeside resort, The Landing Resort and Spa is the ultimate escape. Imagine a place where you can ski in the morning then lounge on the beach in the afternoon surrounded by snow-capped mountains – Yes, this is the place.
The hotel offers 77 rooms, each with their own fireplace and balcony. The best part of the hotel room (in my opinion) was the bathroom – deep-soaking jacuzzi tubs and heated floors and toilet seats. As a girl who really appreciates a great bubble bath, this was perfect after a day on the mountain!
While the hotel is walking distance to restaurants, shopping, and nightlife, The Landing Resort and Spa provides free bike rentals and transportation around South Lake Tahoe. I recommend having dinner on-site at Jimmy’s Restaurant. The Greek-inspired, Mediterranean-influenced cuisine is absolutely delicious and the service is impeccable. The gnocchi was the best I’ve ever had – so be sure to try it when you dine! YUM.
To follow along with my theme of relaxation, we treated ourselves to a couples massage – which was heavenly! The Spa offers a wide-array of treatments, so be sure to book an appointment then head over to the sauna after.
Whether you’re looking for an active vacay packed with skiing, hiking, or golfing, OR a relaxing spa getaway, The Landing Resort and Spa offers something for everyone. I absolutely loved my visit, and I hope you check out the hotel for your next Lake Tahoe visit!
