One of the best parts about living in Dallas is that Mexico is just a quick plane flight away. In fact, we can land in Cabo in less than 3 hours – crazy, right?

Since I’m always craving a beach getaway, Scott and I recently planned a trip to Cabo to stay at the Paradisus Los Cabos resort. While I stayed at a Melia resort during my trip to Cuba, this was my first time experiencing the Paradisus by Melia, and it completely blew me away. The hotel was remodeled from head to toe, and the interiors were absolutely gorgeous! The open air environment combined with modern, white decor was pure perfection. It was such a chic and luxurious hotel, and I’m already dying to go back.

ALL-INCLUSIVE RESORT

While the hotel has different packages for guests to select, we chose the adults-only Royal Service all-inclusive package – which we highly recommend! We had unlimited access to seven delicious restaurants on site and endless beverages at the seven hotel bars (including a swim-up pool bar). Aside from the general amenities, our specific package gave us access to the VIP lounge, complete with a separate concierge, delicious food all day, private bar and lounge, and an additional restaurant available only for guests with this package. [ Note: family packages are available too ]

Aside from the grounds and amenities, what stood out to us the most was the customer service and incredible staff. When we checked into the resort, we were given a cell phone with access to 24 hour concierge service to our personal butler, Rodrigo. It was so nice to have someone check in with us every single day to help with any needs, including setting up a special birthday surprise for Scott in the hotel room with sweets, champagne, and music. Also, when we wanted to plan a scuba diving trip, Rodrigo handled everything and simply handed us the itinerary – he made our trip so relaxing! We also loved catching up with the hotel manager, Pedro, and our favorite bartender at the pool everyday!

THE RESTAURANTS AND BARS

The Paradisus Los Cabos has seven incredible restaurants on site for guests ranging from Mexican or Hibachi to a Michelin-rated restaurant called Gastro Bar. You can also find seven bars throughout the hotel – our favorite was the pool bar during the day and Gabi Bar in the evening.

THE ROOMS

Since we chose the Royal Service package, we stayed in a Royal Service Ocean Front Suite. Our room was so spacious and chic, and it was only a few steps away from the Royal Service Lounge. Since this package is adults-only, there were no children on our floor – so it was ultra quiet and relaxing! Aside from the decor, I always appreciate great products in any hotel room, and I loved how the Paradisus Los Cabos used Thierry Mugler products in all of their bathrooms throughout the resort!

Our room also has a fully stocked mini bar and all-day room service free of charge – seriously, is there really anything better than an all-inclusive package?

THE ACTIVITIES

As much as I love laying by the pool from time to time, I love a resort that provides a lot of activities for guests to enjoy. We loved participating in the hotel’s sushi-making workshop, wine and tequila tastings, and dance lessons. Since we were in Mexico during the Mayweather vs. McGregor fight, we enjoyed gathering with (most) of the resort to watch the fight on the big screen.

One thing many people don’t know about me is that I love to dive. Blair and I have our advanced open-water and Nitrox licenses, so we love to dive whenever we have the opportunity! Because of this, our favorite activity of the trip was definitely scuba diving. Thanks to our private guide, Brendon, we were able to swim with sharks, octopus, manta rays, spiney lobsters, eels and more!  If you are a diver, I highly recommend adding this excursion to your trip itinerary!

LOCATION

The Paradisus Los Cabos is about a 20 minute drive from downtown Cabo, where you will find Squid Roe, Cabo Wabo, the marina, and more touristy destinations. Though we enjoyed exploring the downtown scene for a couple hours after our diving adventure, we loved getting back to our resort. The Paradisus is completely serene and quiet, so if you’re looking for a relaxing getaway, this is your spot!

We had so much fun during our trip to Los Cabos, so be sure to check out our Los Cabos Travel Vlog above for an inside look into our vacay! Also, keep scrolling to see more photos from our trip! We hope you love the hotel as much as we did!
