I talk a lot about what to wear when you have nothing to wear, but to be honest lately I’ve been staring into my closet wondering why it’s completely slammed but yet I have nothing to wear. While a patterned dress is always fun and ruffled midi is perfectly sophisticated, sometimes I just need to mix it up a bit. A few years ago I turned to my asymmetical mini for every occasion, then my leather midi, followed by my white A-line skirt (still a favorite), but the one skirt every girl needs in her closet is the metallic pleated midi skirt.
While pleated skirts are always a favorite (like I wore here and here), the metalic midi is the ultimate pleated skirt. Why? Because it’s by far way more versatile than a simple color. Paired with a simple tee, denim jacket, and sneakers, this skirt is perfect for afternoon brunch. You can also pair it with a silk tank, stilettos, and sparkly jewelry for the perfect cocktail attire. If you choose to meet in the middle, you can style it with a cozy sweater and nude heels for your next event or dinner. Since blush is a neutral, you can pair it with virtually any color – but my favorite is to pair blush with blush. A simple monochromatic look is always chic.
