Last week, my sister and I were invited to an intimate trunk show hosted by Hilary Swank to showcase her new clothing line, Mission Statement. While Hilary Swank is most recognized as a two-time Academy Award winning actress, this down-to-earth entrepreneur is rapidly gaining notoriety in the fashion world for her new luxe leisure clothing line.
While we’re all familiar with athleisure wear, Swank’s new luxe leisure line mixes “high performance and high fashion” to provide women with a versatile clothing brand to look and feel great for all aspects of life. Mission Statement garments are all made in heritage design factories, so you’re getting the finest quality clothing – but at a fraction of the price of other luxury clothing lines. The collection features pieces in soft cashmere, luxury leather, and laser-cut wicking material.
As soon as we tried on Mission Statement clothing, we fell in LOVE with the brand. Each piece is designed to flatter a woman’s body in all the right places, plus the fitted silhouettes and quality fabrics make each outfit feel like a dream. Since I travel so often, I really appreciate the versatility of Mission Statement clothing. I love how I can pair these Mantra Pants with a cashmere sweater and sneakers for a comfy airport outfit, and trade my sneakers for heels and add a pair of statement earrings for a chic and easy dinner outfit.
It was so fun getting to learn about the brand from the designer herself. Not only did we learn about the inspiration behind the brand, we also learned how to style each piece. Mission Statement pieces can all be mixed and matched, plus layering the cashmere sweaters creates a chic and unique look to add variety in your wardrobe!
Janie’s favorite look from the trunk show was this laser-cut reversible dress. What amazed us the most about this dress is how Hilary said the material is breathable and sweat-resistant, so she wore it from tennis to dinner in Dallas without having to change. Now that’s a dress every girl needs! Plus it was incredibly flattering and so perfect for any occasion.
What I love most about Mission Statement (aside from the comfort) is how each piece is machine-washable. Knowing that I can toss my favorite cashmere sweaters or leather pants in the washing machine, rather than waiting on a dry cleaner, saves so much time in my busy schedule!
