When I first started shopping on eBay, I only used the site for seeking out designers like Prada, Christian Louboutin, etc. However, the more I started shopping on eBay, the more I found myself gravitating towards pieces I already own and love!
Consider this, I have an entire guest bedroom transformed into a closet with hundreds of shoes lining all the walls, baskets in the closet, stacked high on bookshelves, and even more hiding in the garage – BUT I tend to only wear 4-5 of these shoes on a weekly basis. Crazy, right? Well when I love a pair of shoes, I will wear them again and again until they have to be resoled twice and eventually retired. When I love a pair, I REALLY love a pair.
Thanks to eBay, I’ve actually started replacing some of my favorite shoes when they need to retire – and best of all, at a fraction of the price! As soon as summer starts, I find myself living in nude wedges. There’s so flattering with flirty dresses, plus they are so comfy for traveling! Ever since I found my first pair of cork Baldan wedges, I’ve been hooked since it’s the perfect summer shoe.
While a lot of people may not be familiar with the luxury Italian shoe brand, Baldan, this is one of my favorite shoe brands (second to Louboutin). I splurged on my first pair (ok 3 pairs) when I first graduated from SMU. Aside from my shoe obsession, I also love using eBay to stock up on multiples of styles I tend to use most often. 1 – Shop Designers You Already Know And Love
If you’re looking to replace an old favorite OR find some new styles from your favorite designer, searching for a designer you’re already familiar with makes the process a lot easier. You’ll know exactly how a size fits or the quality of the material, so you can have a clear idea of the product before it arrives.
2 – Be Specific In Your Search
If I’m looking for a pair of Christian Louboutin heels, my search list will be outrageously long. However searching “Christian Louboutin So Kate size 37.5” saves a LOT of time and delivers exactly what I’m looking for.
3 – Shop The eBay Authenticate Section
If you’re looking to splurge on a luxury designer item, I highly recommend the eBay authenticity section. Items in this section have already been authenticated by eBay and all of the sellers are expert/trusted sources. You can feel confident knowing you’re ordering is authentic and high-quality. Plus if you’re not sure exactly which bag or color you want, you can easily browse to find so many great options!
4 – Shop By Category Or Trend
If you’re not sure EXACTLY what you’re looking for, be sure to check out the eBay trend and category sections on the Women’s Fashion landing page. 5 – Filter Your Search
When I shop on eBay, I prefer to narrow down the search results so I can find exactly what I’m looking for. I prefer the Buy It Now option over bidding, purchasing from only US sellers, and sellers who accept returns.
6 – Read The Return Policy
In the off chance the item you ordered isn’t the item you were expecting, it’s best to order from sellers with a good return policy. Be sure to check the terms and returns before purchasing. (Note: eBay offers a money back guarantee on all purchases, but it’s quickest and easiest to return through the seller)
