LA Recap: Celebrating The 2020 Lincoln Aviator

One thing is for sure, November was a whirlwind of fun! From the Bahamas to California and everything in between, I spent the month packing and unpacking my suitcase for weeks to celebrate so many exciting events and occasions!

Last week, Lincoln Motor Company invited me on an exciting getaway to LA to celebrate the launch of the new 2020 Lincoln Aviator. While I’ve always loved the Lincoln Navigator, I had no idea what to expect when I touched down at LAX – but the entire weekend completely exceeded my expectations from start to finish. The trip was absolutely fabulous!

When I landed at the airport, I was chauffeured (in a brand new Lincoln, of course) to the Dream Hollywood Hotel to check in and freshen up before the press event at Milk Studios in Hollywood. The hotel was absolutely stunning (more on that below), and I had the chance to meet some of the other bloggers attending before the press events started.

Press Event + Inside the Lincoln Aviator

One of the highlights of the weekend was attending the press event at Milk Studios. It was so exciting to get the first look of the new Lincoln Aviator before the public reveal, plus I truly enjoyed learning so much about the car! The Aviator will be the most luxe vehicle within the Lincoln fleet, which is no surprise after learning about all of the amenities. The car features the newest smart technology to make every aspect of your drive a next level experience.

One of my favorite amenities is how the SUV scans road signs to auto-adjust your cruise control on road trips – Safe to say, I need this. Plus the car offers numerous massage controls for the seats, a cell phone app to work as your car key (unlocking at a closer range than Tesla, which is a great safety feature), an incredible sound system, self-parking, and SO much more!

Another feature that makes the Lincoln Aviator so unique is how all of the traditional car beeps and notifications have been updated with custom musical chimes by the Detroit Symphony Orchestra! Talk about making the drive a pleasant experience!

New Friends

One thing I love about blogging is how many amazing people I get to meet along the way. While I didn’t know anyone when I arrived, I instantly clicked with so many girls and we had a blast together! The funny thing about bloggers is everyone is usually so outgoing and friendly, so there’s never an awkward introduction – you just skip ahead to becoming new friends and spending the trip together! After the press event, a bunch of girls and I hopped in an Uber for lunch at SUGARFISH and omg, it was delish! Next time you’re in LA, be sure to add this to your list!  

The Launch Party

There’s no doubt about it,  Lincoln knows how to throw a beautiful party! The official launch party took place at the rooftop of the Dream Hollywood Hotel. We enjoyed an incredible four-course meal with a special performance by the Detroit Symphony Orchestra and the Hiplet Ballerinas. It was so unique to see how the Lincoln vision was expressed through the arts – the performance was mesmerizing! When the clock struck nine, the curtain was lifted and the new 2020 Lincoln Aviator was on display over a glass-covered pool. It was a sight to see!

The Dream Hollywood Hotel

We all know how much I LOVE a boutique hotel, and the Dream Hollywood Hotel was literally a dream! My room was huge with large windows overlooking LA, a gorgeous bathroom with a shower that opens up to the bedroom, a top notch mini bar, and the comfiest king bed you can imagine. The lobby of the hotel is modern and open, perfect for happy hour before starting the night.

LA Auto Show

Before I hopped on a plane back to Dallas, I spent my final day at the LA Auto Show with new friends, Monica and Cristen. I will say this was my first auto show, so I had no idea what to expect – but it was such a cool experience! Plus we got to experience another big reveal of the Aviator, with the Detroit Symphony Orchestra! Even if you’re not a car expert, I recommend checking out a car show – it’s a unique experience!

Overall my weekend with Lincoln was one for the books! Not only did I love celebrating the launch of the new Aviator, I had an absolute blast from start to finish thanks to the amazing Lincoln Motors team, the fabulous bloggers that joined, and the wonderful accommodations at Dream Hollywood Hotel!
