Growing up, I remember every Sunday morning about 30 minutes before church, all chaos broke loose between the three of us having “absolutely nothing to wear” – We’d be trying on every dress in our closet saying we either wore it recently or didn’t like it until a massive pile of clothes grew on our beds, and our patient dad waiting at the door saying it didn’t matter what we wore and let’s just hop in the car. Despite the fact we all wore the same size and had closets slammed with dresses, dressing for the occasion was for some reason always a last minute surprise (like we hadn’t had all week to think about it ha!).
Though I’ve gotten older, one thing remains the same: I wait until the last minute after finishing my hair and makeup to flip through my closet and continue to change five times before walking out the door saying “whatever, I’ll just wear this”. This baffles my husband because he sees how many dresses hang in my closet, but as every woman knows every dress has a different occasion.
