How To Plan A Monogrammed Baby Sprinkle

Cheers to Baby Margot!

It has been a joyous three months with the newest addition to The Perennial Style family, and we are so excited to welcome another girl into our growing family!

Since Janie was prepped and ready for her newest bundle of joy from her first year with little Caroline (read all about Janie’s Sip and See here and Blair’s baby shower here), we felt Margot deserved a celebration as well – and we had the best time hosting her monogrammed-themed sprinkle!

WHAT IS A BABY SPRINKLE

While we are all familiar with a baby shower, a baby sprinkle is an event to celebrate a family’s second or third child. While a baby shower is thrown to help a new mom prepare for her first child by helping her stock the nursery with all of the essentials for welcoming a new baby, a sprinkle is a smaller celebration in lieu of the larger gifts needed for the first child!

WHY HOST A MONOGRAM SPRINKLE

Since Blair and Janie share so many items between the girls (and of course love styling the little ones in some of our favorite clothes that our mom saved over the years), we decided a monogrammed-themed sprinkle would be the perfect way to celebrate. We asked all of the guests to bring a monogrammed item as a gift, and it was a precious way to celebrate her namesake and personalize her nursery and wardrobe!

THE DECOR

Since Janie loves all things preppy and feminine, we went with a pink and white themed party with lots of gingham, monograms, white balloons, and bows. Between the four hosts, it was a quick and easy set up before the party and turned out beautifully. Keeping on trend with the monogrammed theme, our friend, Becca, embroidered all of the ribbons for the flower arrangements with Margot’s monogram – and it was such a sweet and personalized detail we loved!

In addition, we made a personalized diaper cake for Janie (c/o of Coterie diapers!), and it was a fun twist on a welcome arrangement. We love including these at showers, because not only do they make a great centerpiece, but Janie left the party with a huge supply of diapers for Margot and embroidered hair bows for Margot to wear – and it’s much prettier way to gift diapers when they’re displayed on a cake plate with bows!

WHAT TO SERVE

Since a Sprinkle is typically smaller and more casual than a baby shower, we served a mix of breakfast items (Breadwinners in Dallas is great for small bites for showers!), personalized cookies, and other finger foods. We also served mimosas and rosé during the party, and it was simple and easy!

BABY SPRINKLE GAME IDEAS

Since most of the girls at the party were new moms, we decided to play a trivia game at the end of the party and the winner of the group took home a bottle of champagne. While this was more of an impromptu decision for the event, it was actually really fun! We read a list of questions about newborns ranging from the most popular baby names to the largest baby ever born and more, and everyone had to read their answers aloud at the end. While it was a simple and easy game, the answers were hilarious and I highly recommend it!
