Happy Fall, y’all! There’s no denying this is my favorite season, but apart from the cool-weather festivities and warm color tones, I love Fall because it means I can switch up my block heeled sandals with comfy booties – and who doesn’t love a heel that feels like you’re walking on clouds? Booties can take any look from dressy to casual, which is exactly what I went for when pairing my Sam Edelmans with this frilly floral mini.
Someone mentioned the other day that my style has definitely toned down from the early stages of The Perennial Style – Yes, that’s partly due to the fact that I’m channeling my later twenties (oh heyyy), but mainly due to the changing fashion trends. When we started the blog, crop tops, leather, and asymmetrical hemlines were blowing up retailers, but styles have drastically become more feminine and conservative over the years with midi skirts, block heels, high necklines, etc. Safe to say, I’m glad the trends followed that path – and not the other way around!
One trend I’m loving these days that is a vast contrast to my crop top days is high-neck bow blouses. I featured a fun Tularosa dress earlier this week, but this feminine little floral dress is absolutely darling. The ruffled neckline and bow balances out the mini, and the pattern is just oh-so-perfect for Fall. As I mentioned above, I paired it with booties for a daytime outing in Victory Park, but a pair of block-heeled pumps would transition the look for a shower or luncheon!
Whatever your style is, this dress is perfect for Fall! Check it out below and shop the links to get my style! Xo
