The Lucky FABB Conference took place on Friday at the SLS Beverly Hills Hotel. It was such a fun way to connect with fashion and beauty bloggers from all over the nation! Eva Chen, editor-in-chief of Lucky Magazine, was the host of the conference, and we were very impressed by her demeanor throughout the interview. Guest speakers for the event included Nicole Richie, Coco Rocha, Sophia Amoruso (Blair’s favorite), Karolina Kurkova, January Jones, Wendy Nguyen, and many others. We gained so many blogging tips about everything from SEO to social media to upcoming fashion and beauty trends. The presenting sponsors for Lucky FABB were Lucky Magazine, P&G Beauty, Covergirl, Olay, Pantene, and Secret. I can’t even begin to explain how much fun we had at the conference with all of our new friends! Check out some of our pictures from the event and stay tuned for tomorrow’s recap of our networking brunch!

I’m really enjoying the comeback of the palazzo pant this Spring. They are like the cool older sibling of those short-lived gaucho pants that arose when I was in high school – like I’ve said before, I’m all about the comfortable clothes! As one of the most popular styles in the 60’s, printed palazzo pants embody a certain flower child vibe which I absolutely adore. The trick to palazzo pants is all about the length. Make sure to find a pair that skims the ground in wedges or flat sandals. Also, be sure to pair them with a solid, fitted top to avoid looking sloppy. Get the look with these, these, these, or these!

Growing up an hour from the Florida coast, I spent every weekend on the boat soaking in the summer rays. I practically lived in bikinis and the idea of sunscreen seemed optional, rather than necessary, since I tanned easily and never burned. As I got older, I began to understand the importance of protecting my skin. We read all the time how sunscreen will protect our skin from wrinkles and sun spots, but my sisters and I learned the hard way that the sun can cause much more damage than what meets the eye. After losing our father to melanoma in 2010, we decided to take serious action to protect our skin. As a girl who was constantly bronzed in all the warm seasons, the idea of being “pale” was a little difficult to get used to, so I took action and tested out a plethora of fake tanning methods. Though I always love a good spray tan, I occasionally leave looking more like a pumpkin than a beach babe. While the Jergens Natural Glow Moisturizer is great for slowly building a base color, I am more of an instant tan kind of gal. After a few failed attempts of store bought tanning lotions, Blair discovered this Sun Laboratories Ultra Dark Self Tanning Lotion and I instantly fell in love. This endless jug of Caribbean color will give you a fresh glow in a matter of minutes and continues to soak in over a few hours, leaving your skin streak-free and perfectly bronzed after a quick shower. We’ve shared this little secret with our friends in Dallas, but now it’s time to share it with all of you. Go ahead and give it a shot. Trust us, you will not be disappointed.

As I’ve entered my 20s, I have become aware of how important a solid skincare regimen is. Not only am I trying to prevent blemishes, but I am becoming more and more focused on adapting a proactive routine to fight against aging. So many products on the market today claim to be “anti-aging” skincare products, but in all actuality, do these products really work? I have been researching a lot of different lines and I have discovered what I believe to be the best product on the market right now. Discover L’Occitane’s “Divine Skincare”
L’Occitane’s “Divine Skincare” is a new and advanced formula that helps fight aging more than ever before. The secret is the Immortelle flowers – the flower that never fades. The oil derived from these Immortelle flowers is abstracted to give the skin a youthful, radiant glow to make the skin appear visibly younger. This patent-pending formula has become an instant favorite of mine. I have been using these products every morning and evening, and not only does my skin feel silky-smooth and fabulous, but the floral smell of the products is absolutely intoxicating!
The process is simple: after washing your face in the morning and evening (preferably with your Clarisonic Brush), you start the 3-step process. First you apply the Divine Lotion which moisturizes the skin leaving it silky smooth with the smell of delicious Immortelle flowers. Next you apply the Divine Extract, which is a gel-like formula that sinks in immediately to boost the effects of the Divine Cream (step 3). Finally, you apply the Divine Cream, which is a patent-pending cream which helps to fight visible signs of aging and restores skin’s lost substance, giving your skin the youthful glow you desire! If you are looking to add a final boost of anti-aging, check out their Divine Eyes formula for a wonderful anti-aging eye cream.
If you don’t believe me, check out L’Occitane’s stats to prove it!
