If I could pick two colors to wear for the rest of my life it would definitely be black and gray (ok, and maybe pink..). Though I try to mix colors and patterns into my look, nothing makes me feel more like “me” than black and gray – which is why I am completely obsessed with this new coat I snagged for Fall. It matches perfectly with everything and is so beyond comfortable that I’ll be wearing it literally everyday.

One of my biggest weaknesses when it comes to shopping is the unnecessarily large amount of winter coats I decide I “need” to own. Though Dallas is rarely cold enough to actually wear all of these coats, Janie and I found it necessary to rent out a storage unit simply for our winter coats and furs… yes, this is a problem. Anyways, in my opinion, a trendy winter coat is the easiest way to look chic and put together, all while staying warm!
One of my newest favorites is this leather and fur trimmed wool coat, which is the perfect mix of classic and edgy. Since these upcoming months are slammed with traveling, this is the perfect coat to pack for trips to toss on over jeans or a fun dress for a walk around the city. One trend we’ve been noticing all over the place, and even more so in LA this past week, is over the shoulder coats. Though the two words “coat” and “Spring” don’t mesh very well in the Texas heat, Spring coats are a big trend for the season. What makes this look different this Spring is the way they are being worn off the shoulders. Though it may seem impractical to wear a coat around your shoulders, as compared to actually keeping your arms within the sleeves, over the shoulder coats give a feminine and sophisticated look to any outfit.
