One of my favorite looks for Fall is monochromatic matching. When I found this skirt I knew I would be able to get so much wear out of it this season. The length is perfect for work, but the fit and flare shape makes the perfect transition from 9-5 to Happy Hour. My favorite part about this look is the mix of new with vintage pieces. As I’ve said before I am big on investment pieces. This Gucci bit handbag below was purchased by my grandmother in New York in her 20s, but the quality of the leather remains unchanged to this day. Since the bag was such a classic shape, you can buy this nearly identical one today!

It’s that time of year again – Halloween! I don’t know about you, but my Halloween week this year is filled with work parties and charity functions. I plan on being festive without rocking a head-to-toe lavish costume like years prior, so I’ve searched around for the perfect “spooky” accessories to add to my wardrobe. The best part about my finds is that I could wear all of these items on a normal day with some of the newest trends this season – cat ears, anyone? My newest obsession are these temporary tattoos. I love lots of color in a room, and I am obsessed with the agate trend that is popping up everywhere. It’s such a fun and simple way to add texture and something unique to any room. Agate tends to be a little pricey, so if you ever find a cool piece on sale I suggest you buy it and use it as decoration in a shelf, on a coffee table, or anywhere else that needs a burst of color. Luckily lots of designers are picking up on this trend so you can find everything from coasters, lamps, wine bottle stoppers, bookends, and much more. I think we will be seeing these beautiful pieces around for a while, so I recommend you pick up a unique agate sooner than later!

It’s always refreshing when a style is carried over from one season to the next, which in this case involves leather-sleeve jackets. What I love about this trend is how the leather can add a hint of “cool” to even the preppiest pea coat.
