Out of the three cars my sisters and I tested for GM, I have to admit the Buick LaCrosse was my favorite. Though I had never considered the LaCrosse to be a luxury sedan, I was more than impressed by all of the features in the car. The interior of the car reminded me a lot of Blair’s old CTS with the spacious backseat and overly cushioned leather seats. The car was fully equipped with all of the best amenities. My favorite feature (which definitely took me by surprise) was the way the seats vibrated while I turned or if I was too close to other cars. Talk about keeping you alert! Another feature I loved was the heated steering wheel, which was a huge plus with the polar vortex that hit Dallas recently.

The LaCrosse was equipped with Bose speakers, XM radio, and an iPhone plugin (as well as charger). The driver information display behind the steering wheel made driving easy with all of my controls from cruise control to my favorite playlists right at my fingertips, plus the speed display on my windshield made staying under the speed limit a cinch. Overall, I was very impressed with the Buick LaCrosse. To learn more about about this car, click here.

I believe there’s something about the color pink that makes the world a better place, which is obviously why I am head over heels for this pink moto jacket I picked up at Gap (try this similar option). The shape and hue of this jacket add the perfect pop to even the simplest outfit, and I’m trying my hardest NOT to wear it every single day. For a casual Sunday in the Arts District, I paired it with my favorite Lauren Moshi elephant tee (for a hint of good luck) and my J Brand Love Story Flares.

This weekend we finally received the snow I’ve been wishing for – well more so an ice storm, but close enough in my book. There’s something so refreshing about the cold air against your cheeks and bundling up in warm, cozy clothes for a few days off of work. The best part about icy weather is the excuse to put the stilettos away for a few days and live in comfy boots! I picked up this Gap wool coat about a week ago, and it is an instant favorite. It kept me warm all day, and the moto zippers added a little edge to the classic plaid pattern. Love it.

For a night out at the Winspear Opera House with the family, I decided to wear my new metallic jacquard skirt I picked up from the Simply Stylist sample sale at the W a couple weeks ago. Paired with a J Crew wool sweater and my favorite Milly peacoat, it was such an easy way to dress up for the holidays while remaining comfy and warm in the freezing weather. I have fallen head over heels for all of the fabulous new minis this season – I might have to snag this, this, and this one too!

When the word “corduroy” comes to mind, I immediately have a flashback to myself in elementary school playing four-square on the playground. Not to say I wasn’t a super stylish kid, but the fabric seems to have an old-school vibe associated with it. Well say goodbye to the frumpy fits and dull color palettes of the past, and say hello to the hot new cords popping up everywhere this season! The bright colors and trendy skinny-cut lines make these pants a must-have for your closet. Besides, who doesn’t want an easy and fun alternative to jeans?
