As much as I love major department stores, visiting local boutiques is my preferred method of shopping. Apart from boutiques cutting back on the overwhelming intake of clothing in large retailers, boutiques are always the first to introduce shoppers to up-and-coming or local designers. Though
ShopSeptember began as an online retailer, we are so excited about the new Dallas location which opened in Snider Plaza earlier this year.
Named after one of the most influential months of the year in the fashion industry,

Every now and then I like to dig through my closet and pull out pieces I haven’t worn in a while and give them a second chance. You’ve heard me say before skinny jeans are not my cup of tea, but when I got this new tie dye flowy tank from Milk & Honey, I knew my zip-side Serfontaine skinnys (similar) with my favorite Gianmarco Lorenzi platforms (try these look for less platforms – LOVE!) would be the perfect way to dress this top up for a night out. I also added this awesome boho coin statement necklace for bold pop against the turquoise. I have to say I loved the skinnys more than I remembered, so I’ll definitely be wearing these again soon. As I have said time and again, matching separates are my style weakness of the moment (seen here and here), so of course a new matching Missguided crop and wrap mini would be my go-to for celebrating my 25th birthday this past weekend with all of my amazing friends! This season I am all about crop tops. I just can’t seem to get enough of these for Spring, which is why I am loving this Peter Pilotto for Target crop top I picked up last week. I thought the black and white pattern was perfectly retro when paired with these round sunnies, and I added this orange cross-body bag for a fun pop of color. A good tip to remember when wearing crop tops is to pair it with a high-waist bottom to ensure too much skin isn’t showing. I am also a huge fan of vintage shopping, so when I spotted this vintage leather pencil skirt I knew it was a must for my wardrobe and the perfect skirt for this top.
