PS for M&H: One Dress, Two Ways

One piece every woman needs in her closet is a great red dress suitable for every occasion. This Milk and Honey dress is a must-have for our wardrobe. The shape is conservative yet feminine, and we love the open-back detail that provides a fun contrast to the high neckline in the front. Janie paired hers with a bold black and gold necklace and nude patent pumps for an evening look, while Blair paired hers with a denim jacket, chunky Alexis Bittar necklace, and lace up sandals for a casual afternoon look. Whether you choose to dress it up or dress it down, the opportunities to wear this are endless. Visit the Milk and Honey website to shop our looks!blair butler janie flowers

Printed Trousers

Printed Trousers

One trend you should definitely keep an eye out for this Spring would be printed trousers. Trousers are such an easy alternative to jeans if you are looking to remain casual, yet chic. If you are looking for the perfect pair, Lela Rose has you covered. She has been designing the perfect printed trouser for years, and I am a huge fan of mine – tip for shopping: be sure to buy a size down, as they tend to stretch! To learn more about Lela Rose, see our post here. I paired my trousers with this Lilly Pulitzer peplum sweater and a pearl necklace my mother-in-law gave me.

Barbour, Bendel, & Booties

One of my favorite wardrobe staples would have to be my Barbour coat. What I love most about this coat is the classic shape that will forever be in style. Normally I pair it with jeans and boots for a sporty Fall look, but I paired it with a casual dress and my favorite ankle booties for a sunny afternoon in Deep Ellum this past weekend. The Pampered Pooch

The Pampered Pooch

This past weekend, my sisters and I headed home to Destin for a little R&R and family time. While we were there, we got to play with our adorable little toy poodle, Polo, who we adopted when I was in middle school – I am starting to think he will live forever. Considering we have only had one dog my entire life, I cannot even begin to describe how much love I have for this little pup. After much persuasion, my mom agreed to let us take Polo back to Dallas! Now that I can proudly say I am a dog owner (temporarily), I am excited to stock up on all the cute and trendy new pet accessories to spoil him rotten. These are some of my favorites:

Beauty Must-Haves

Beauty Must-Haves

Every Southern girl knows you should never leave the house without makeup. Whether we stay rooted in that mentality or not, we know taking an extra five minutes in the morning to apply the basic beauty essentials makes a world of a difference. I have a tendency to purchase a plethora of unnecessary cosmetics, but I always find myself using the same products every day.

I am no snob with my products and enjoy a mix of designer and drugstore brands. Eyeliner is my vice, therefore I have tried every brand under the sun: MACBobbi Brown, Serge Lutens, you name it. I was surprised to find, however, the simplest and most inexpensive was my favorite- Revlon ColorStay Eyeliner. If you haven’t tried it, go buy it now. You will thank me later.

In the meantime, check out some of my other must-have beauty finds in my cosmetic bag!
