Looking put-together while remaining super comfortable is definitely my go-to work week outfit, and this draped blouse from Lyla’s Clothing is the perfect top for achieving this look. Though this top was technically a jacket, I tied it together at the waist and added a small safety pin to transition the piece. Finding a blouse to wear in the Dallas summer heat isn’t always easy, which is why I’m loving this paisley flowy blouse I picked up at Milk & Honey. The cut out sleeves and open-back make it airy and lightweight, perfect for a summer Texas night! Something about this top reminded me of the 70s, so I paired it with my Lovestory flares and my favorite aviators to top off the vibe. As I mentioned yesterday, I’m trying to get back into the groove of jeans, so stocking up on fun tops will definitely be my shopping goal! Check out my look below:

There’s nothing better than a long weekend home with the family, and since our home is in Sandestin, FL, we packed up our bags and headed to the coast for Easter. We had so much fun all weekend enjoying our favorite spots like lunch at Barefoot’s Beachside Bar & Grill at the Sandestin Hilton, mimosas at Seaside’s Modica Market (they can thank Blair’s wedding for their record sales weekend), live music in Baytowne Wharf, dinner and dancing at the Ocean Club, and much more. Topping off the vacay was a little shopping spree at the adorable Barefoot Princess in Watercolor– You should definitely stop by next time you are on 30a for our favorite brands like Lilly Pulitzer, Milly, Trina Turk, Ella Moss, and more!! I’ve always heard you should never wear white before Easter, but that rule is just a little too old fashioned for me! There’s nothing I love more than a fresh pair of white jeans in the Spring, and since I’m not a huge fan of skinnys, these J Brand flares are perfect for me. I paired them with this new Ella Moss boxy top I snagged recently, and I am loving the contrast of feminine eyelet with rugged chambray. Be sure to keep an eye out for boxy tops this season, as the structured shape gives a polished look with minimal effort – try this, this, this, or this. I finished off the look with my new favorite necklace (also seen here), which I can’t seem to take off!

Now that Spring has sprung, I find myself gravitating towards the brighter pieces in my closet. I paired this yellow moto jacket I picked up at a sample sale this year (try this similar one) with a solid tee and my skinny jeans for an afternoon in the park. One of the things I have learned in my life is that every woman needs a good pair of flats in her closet. I am a huge fan of these Prada flats, as they are comfortable, classic, and made of the softest leather.
