One thing you may have learned about me is that I am always on board to try out the newest trends. Crop tops, ear cuffs, overalls, scrunchies, you name it. However, I have to admit I am having to ease myself into one of the newest trends hitting the scene this season: the long short. Though Bermuda shorts are not a new trend by any means, considering a pair of slouchy knee-length shorts to be a feminine and daring new look is a bit daunting to me. With so many different shapes and lengths available for these new shorts, it is definitely possible to find the right shape and style for any size with a little trial and error. Well I hate to break it to Carrie, but scrunchies are back! Designers like Marc Jacobs and Missoni have brought the scrunchie back to life in their newest collections. Though the idea of these fluffy, fabric hairbands may initially make you cringe, celebs have already jumped on the scrunchie train. It’s hard to deny that backpacks are anything but practical. I mean, who doesn’t love taking a break from a heavy purse every now and then and tossing all their necessities behind them. Whether it reminds me of my childhood adventures or my first day of school, mini backpacks just bring back happy memories. Though this trend may not be for everyone, I’m beyond thrilled to pull out my Gucci mini backpack I picked up in Cannes years ago. How do you feel about this 90s throwback?
