Rebecca Taylor has always been one of my favorite designers, so when we were invited to attend her runway show at NYFW, I was more than excited! Rebecca Taylor is one designer that my sisters and I have always mutually agreed on, partially due to her mix of printed fabrics, feminine detailing, and flowy boho shapes.
The show was held at Center548 (same as Kate Spade, though hardly recognizable!) and was an incredible parade of fabulous look after look from the 2015 Spring collection. As upbeat music blared through the room, the energy level was at an all-time high as the models debuted her newest pieces. With pastels, embellishments, fresh shapes, and more, it’s safe to say Rebecca Taylor nailed it once again!
Once the show ended, we had an incredible opportunity to head backstage and meet Rebecca Taylor, as well as get a personal look at all of the clothes. Backstage at NYFW with one of my favorite designers was definitely a dream come true and was an experience I will never forget! After an amazing 10 days in New York, I am finally back home in Dallas ready to update all of you on the newest trends, my favorite NYFW outfit looks, and all of our wonderful experiences and events from the trip! One of my highlights of the journey was definitely the rewardStyle party on the rooftop of The Empire Hotel. Catching up with all of my favorite bloggers, as well as meeting many new favorites, was an absolute blast. The entire rewardStyle team threw an over-the-top fete once again, complete with goodies from Kendra Scott, Piperlime, and more!
One of my favorite new trends (which is isn’t necessarily “new”) is the collared white blouse. Channeling a more structured look with a tailored shape and stiff collar, the white blouse is a must-have this season. Paired alone or layered under a dress or sweater, this is your newest go-to for any occasion.
Since crop tops are my number one favorite trend this year, I chose to wear this edgy Nasty Gal collared blouse for my Saturday afternoon event look. Since the sides of this shirt are connected solely by a black elastic band, I paired the crop with a high-waist leather pencil to avoid showing too much skin. The high-neck collar balances out the bold sides, giving an edgy yet sophisticated twist on the white blouse trend. Though my style is mainly influenced by bold or edgy pieces, occasionally I find myself channeling the styles of Blair and Janie by adding a little Lilly into my look. Since jumpsuits are my favorite (see here, here, or here), this Lilly jumpsuit made it’s way home with me from my last visit to Barefoot Princess in Watercolor, FL. I love the bold print on this piece, and of course the insanely comfortable silhouette! See how I styled mine and check out my other jumpsuit picks below:

For feminine and classic pieces, Milly is definitely one of my all-time favorite designers. Her prints and shapes are so perfect, and when it comes to shift dresses, Milly nails it every time. I love this new zebra-print dress I snagged recently. Though a zebra-print dress usually sounds a tad overwhelming, the green tones calm the print and give a sophisticated, yet fun, twist on the fabric. Jumpsuits have become one of my favorite styles to wear recently, and whether it’s the retro vibe or simply the ease of getting dressed, I keep catching myself stocking up on these onesies. Since I am on the shorter side (and like to fake off my height with 5 inch platforms), flared jumpsuits are definitely my preferred fit. A tapered leg can give such a sophisticated look, but for any jumpsuit rookie, I totally recommend a flared leg. I love this midnight blue one I picked up recently (similar: this or this), as the loose shape and fit is insanely comfortable and perfect for those “I have no idea what to wear” days. The next jumpsuit I plan on snagging is either this one or this one by DVF – hands down, the most flattering ones I’ve seen yet! See how I styled mine below and check out my list of favorites beneath!
