I love lots of color in a room, and I am obsessed with the agate trend that is popping up everywhere. It’s such a fun and simple way to add texture and something unique to any room. Agate tends to be a little pricey, so if you ever find a cool piece on sale I suggest you buy it and use it as decoration in a shelf, on a coffee table, or anywhere else that needs a burst of color. Luckily lots of designers are picking up on this trend so you can find everything from coasters, lamps, wine bottle stoppers, bookends, and much more. I think we will be seeing these beautiful pieces around for a while, so I recommend you pick up a unique agate sooner than later!

It’s a rainy Monday in Dallas, which means comfort is the ultimate go-to for the day. There’s nothing I love more than an over-sized sweater to cozy up in and avoid the dreary weather outside. Check out my cozy chic look of the day:

“What’s in a name? that which we call a rose by any other name would smell as sweet” – Shakespeare
First the Kindle came to take the book from the cover, but now designers have come to take the cover from the book. As a lover of literature and a Shakespeare groupie, I am head over heels for these new book clutches. What better way to express your inner bibliophile than by carrying a classic read alongside your LBD?

Olympia Le-Tan / Kate Spade
Celebrities too have fallen for these adorable clutches:

Michelle Williams
Miranda Kerr
Catherine Rose & Lela Rose
Chloe Sevigny

When sky-high heels swept the runway, I jumped with joy. The higher the better! This is precisely why I am not 100% thrilled with the newest trend: heels lower than 3 inches. This could mean a return of the awkward kitten heel – SHIELD YOUR EYES! Yes, I understand they are probably more comfortable, but they just seem way too practical to me. Take a peek at some of designer’s newest heels:

Prada

Miu Miu

Valentino
Chloe
Manolo Blahnik

Tory Burch
Now these are some low-heeled sandals I wouldn’t mind in my closet to wear with a pair jean shorts and a flowy white tank for casual summer days:

Fendi
Elizabeth and James
7 For All Mankind
Will you be adding low heels to your wardrobe this season?
