Bold colored leather is such a fun twist on the classic hues, and this red leather jacket (that I actually stole from my mom’s closet…) is one of my “newest” favorites. Pairing it with my favorite skinnies, a gray tee, and a funky SF cap was such an easy way to mix up my usual afternoon look. See how I styled my jacket for a casual day in San Francisco and shop the links below to add a little red to your wardrobe!  colored leather jacket DL 1961 Skinny Jeans red leather jacket casual San Francisco Hat Fashion San Francisco fashion blogger 1 San Francisco Style Blogger red leather jacket Black and white graffiti wall San Fran Cap

French Connection Leather Navy Coat
After my stay at the Houstonian Hotel earlier this week, I flew to Chicago for a quick trip of meetings and exploring! Since it was my first time to Chicago, I absolutely loved seeing the city, visiting sites (the bean was a must), and of course having my first Chicago deep dish – yum! Coming from Texas, the freezing weather was definitely a big change, so this French Connection coat was perfect for keeping me warm! SWFW Beach outfit

For the second day of South Walton Fashion Week, I opted for this hunter green Splendid dress and a lightweight Alice and Oliva vest that I snagged a few years ago (try this similar one!).   Dressing for Fall when it is still hot outside can be a challenge, however, these lightweight pieces were the perfect way to stay cool on this warm October night.  The event was held on the lawn at Sandestin Grand Boulevard, so wedges were a must to stroll comfortable around the event.  destin fashion blogger brown dress with vest splendid tshirt dress gorjana necklaces flash tattoo beach SWFW Fashion blogger kendra scott brown earrings design darling clutch

Old Navy White SweaterThe past week has been a whirlwind of traveling from a wedding in Nashville, to our cabin in the Smokies, a visit to the Grove Park Inn, a weekend in Harkers Island, and everything in between! My first trip to Harkers Island was absolutely amazing, and I definitely fell in love with this relaxed beach town. A cozy sweater and cutoffs are my Fall beach day essentials. What’s your go-to look for a weekend at the beach?

Trendy Travel Outfit

When it comes to traveling, comfort is definitely my primary focus for dressing. One of my biggest pet peeves is when I see people venturing through the airport looking like they just rolled out of bed in their pajama pants and a college tee. With all of the cozy-chic pieces readily available in retail stores, I think it’s time we all put that look to rest. Whether you choose a great pair of stretch jeans, trendy joggers, chic sneakers, or a classic Vince tee, your travel look will be updated in a snap.

For my recent travel experience, I picked up a new pair of DL1961 stretch skinnys for the journey and paired them with an oversized Free People thermal. I tossed on my favorite floppy hat to give that “put together” look, my floppy combat boots to save my soles from heels, and my favorite leather messenger bag for all of my travel goodies.
