Yellow Blouse

As many of you know, I have now been working for about a month and a half and have really begun to appreciate the versatility of good work clothes. Since I would rather splurge on “fun” clothes, finding something I can wear many ways to the office is key. This skirt from Ann Taylor Loft is exactly what I am talking about. Its shape and primarily dark color make it office appropriate; however, the slight pops of color in the stitching and ruffled pockets give it a feminine touch. I also love how this skirt can easily transition from summer to winter. Holding on to the last days of “summer” – if that even exists now that I’m working- I paired this skirt (similar) with a bright yellow blouse to brighten up the outfit. However, as the weather gets cooler, I will be pairing it with a sweater or blazer. Do you have any favorite work clothes? Please share as I’m always looking for my next great piece!

Peter Pilotto for Target

Peter Pilotto for Target

Peter Pilotto for TargetSpring is in the air! After four months of waiting, Peter Pilotto finally reveals the lookbook for his newest collaboration with Target. Pilotto doesn’t stray from his signature patterns and wild colors in his Target collection with pieces priced under $80 in women’s apparel, swimwear, and accessories – quite the discount from his runway collection which can cost up to $2,000. Celebrities like Selena Gomez, Kristen Stewart, Amanda Seyfried, and Leighton Meester are all fans of Pilotto’s collections. I’m loving the mix of structure and color in the flirty-yet-professional pieces that would add a little pop to your everyday work wear.  The collaboration launches February 9th at Target stores, Target.com, and Net-a-Porter.com as well. And remember, be sure to stop by early before it’s all gone!
