Opening up our inbox and seeing an email from the one and only Vogue Magazine felt like a dream come true, so we were more than excited to RSVP to last night’s Giuseppe Zanotti Opening Party with Vogue in Highland Park Village. Though we always love a fashionable fete, sipping cocktails while admiring Zanotti’s fabulous Italian-made stilettos just really was the ultimate vibe. DJ Lucy Wrubel kept the mood high while guests enjoyed bites by Lombardi Family Catering. From shoes to handbags to accessories and more, this is one new spot you must visit – guys too! Check out some our pictures from last night’s event below and click here to shop the designer’s amazing collection for yourself!

As a shoe once associated exclusively with elderly statesmen, the smoking slipper has become quite the must-have for today’s fashion-forward woman. Whether you chose the Hadleigh’s slipper like Janie or the adorable kitties by Charlotte Olympia, the slipper has been rivaling the ballet and d’orsay flat as the perfect casual shoe. Channeling the impact of today’s social media and text-obsessed society, Moda Operandi has collaborated with Del Toro and Edie Parker to launch this adorable collection of emoji slippers and hashtag clutches. Whether you choose these hot chick slippers or this #tipsy clutch, there’s no better way to express your personality (or your most used emojis) than with these new accessories. The M’Oticons collection is available on Moda Operandi until April 8th, so don’t hesitate if you find a pair you love! #obsessed

The fact is, sometimes it’s hard to walk in a single woman’s shoes. That’s why we need really special ones now and then – to make the walk a little more fun” – Carrie Bradshaw

When I think of fabulous shoes, the one and only Carrie Bradshaw comes to mind. For the woman who introduced the world to Manolo Blahnik, it would only make sense that her first shoe collection would be in collaboration with Manolo – Yes ladies, you heard that correctly, Sarah Jessica Parker is launching her very own shoe collection! The line, SJP, in collaboration with George Malkemus (of Manolo Blahnik) and Nordstrom is set to launch exclusively in selected Nordstrom stores on February 28. SJP strives to reinvent colors as neutrals, giving your look an energetic yet sophisticated update. Gayle King and Adam Glassman of O, The Oprah Magazine, got an inside scoop of the new collection, and let’s just say I cannot wait to get my hands on a pair! Take a peek at the video:

Calling Carrie Bradshaw: MULES ARE BACK! Yes, you heard that correctly – those backless, slide-on heels you graciously gave away early in the millennium have made a comeback this season. Though they may resemble a shoe your grandmother would wear to Christmas dinner, don’t be surprised if you are yearning for the new Fendi mules to pair with a pair of cropped cigarette pants for your next happy hour. Check out some of designers newest mules for this season. I have to say 3.1 Phillip Lim nails it with his bold take on the classic shoe. What do you think?
