Fur vests are my favorite Fall accessory, since they add a fun statement to any classic outfit in a matter of seconds. I paired this neutral fur vest over a loose green dress and casual ankle booties for an easy afternoon look. As much as I love major department stores, visiting local boutiques is my preferred method of shopping. Apart from boutiques cutting back on the overwhelming intake of clothing in large retailers, boutiques are always the first to introduce shoppers to up-and-coming or local designers. Though
ShopSeptember began as an online retailer, we are so excited about the new Dallas location which opened in Snider Plaza earlier this year.
Named after one of the most influential months of the year in the fashion industry,
ShopSeptember seeks to bring shoppers the newest trends and runway-inspired items from their two collections:
The Showroom and
The Street. The Showroom features the newest hard-to-find products and designer labels brought to you before anyone else. For the hottest, fast-fashion trends from the runway, The Street is your go-to collection. Last week we attended the Baubles & Blouses event at the Prashe Showroom in the design district to celebrate fashion, jewelry, and design. Designer Shona Gilbert debuted her newest collections, Shambhala and BollyRocks, from her line SHONA. The colorful pieces were inspired by Prashe Shah’s colorful collections, as well as from her extensive traveling experiences.
As we sipped champagne and mingled through the showroom, we had so much fun trying on the beautiful, vibrant jewelry pieces! Blair left with a pair of gorgeous gold statement earrings that were just to DIE for, and I had a hard time leaving without one of the elaborate hand chains. Apart from learning about the jewelry collections and the clothing sample sale, we also enjoyed exploring the event space. From the hundreds of beautiful flowers to the fabric draped ceilings and elaborate table settings, we were in awe of the elegant showroom!
