TREND ALERT: Overalls

TREND ALERT: Overalls

Growing up as a kid in the 90s, overalls were a solid staple in my wardrobe: jean, velvet, corduroy – you name it. The fad came and went, and we vowed NEVER to wear overalls again… that is, until right now. Overalls are making a strong comeback this Spring with a reinvented shape to add a feminine touch to the slouchy, grunge onesies of our past. With tapered legs and rolled cuffs, this is the fashion trend I dare you try in 2014. Check out some of my favorite new styles:

Christmas Pajamas

Christmas Pajamas

On Christmas Eve, every family has their own tradition. Whether it’s trimming the tree, watching a classic holiday movie, or reading The Night Before Christmas, it’s a holiday tradition that will forever continue no matter how old you get. For my family, our tradition is wearing our matching Lanz of Salzburg gowns. Though they may not be the trendiest, nothing feels more like Christmas than wearing my head-to-toe flannel gown while sitting by the fire. Lanz has been designing these gowns for over 60 years now and the styles remain the same, imagine that. Here’s a snapshot from a previous Christmas Eve:

Fall in Fur

Fall in Fur

There’s nothing I love more than adding a little fur to my Fall wardrobe. I snagged this fur vest at Saks a couple years back, and I believe it is the perfect addition to any outfit for any occasion. To get the look, try this or this – if you prefer faux fur, try this or this.

Trick or Treat

Trick or Treat

It’s that time of year again – Halloween! I don’t know about you, but my Halloween week this year is filled with work parties and charity functions. I plan on being festive without rocking a head-to-toe lavish costume like years prior, so I’ve searched around for the perfect “spooky” accessories to add to my wardrobe. The best part about my finds is that I could wear all of these items on a normal day with some of the newest trends this season – cat ears, anyone? My newest obsession are these temporary tattoos. Models and celebrities are always showing off their newest ink, but with these new temporary tats I can get the same look without the commitment! Check out my picks below:

Happy Friday friends! Last night we attended the Sewell Lexus Design party at 129 Leslie. This venue is hands down my favorite location in Dallas – flashback to Italian Fashion Week. Beats by Jeff Mitchell, fashion by Stanley Korshak, dinner by Dean Fearing (who can hate the Ritz?), and beautiful Lexus vehicles parked throughout are just some of the exciting ingredients to a fabulous evening! The best part about the whole night was all the proceeds from the party were donated to the charity of your choice!
