After what feels like the longest winter we’ve ever experienced in Dallas, I am more than excited to finally pull out my Spring tops and bright colors for these sunny days. Lilly Pulitzer is always my favorite designer for fun patterns and classic shapes, and this new Lilly top I picked up at Barefoot Princess on 30A is definitely going to become one of my go-to’s for the season. Though there’s nothing better than a chilly winter day, these past few weeks have really made me miss the warm sunshine! As everyone in Dallas is bundled up enjoying the surprise snow, I’m soaking in this warm Houston weather and absolutely loving it! I dressed up my column (black on black) with this lightweight pastel blazer, which is a great transition item between seasons – plus the baby blue is such a fun color. I kept my accessorizes minimal with a simple gold choker and spiked ear jackets. Shop the links below to shop my look:

As we mentioned on Thursday, we flew out to LA this past weekend for the Lucky FABB Conference at the SLS Beverly Hills Hotel . We had such a fun weekend listening to speakers, meeting new bloggers, exploring the city, and enjoying all the fabulous pampering Lucky FABB provided. We flew in Thursday night and were welcomed with two glamorous events. First, we headed over to Blow Me Away Blow Dry Bar for the Lucky + Wendy’s event. Wendy’s was one of the sponsors for the event to showcase the launch of their newest salad collection, so they gave us all Asian inspired salads while we got our blow outs, which were actually delicious! We had such a fun time getting all dolled up with the girls from the salon! Following this, we headed over to Duplex on Third for the Lucky + Sexy Hair cocktail party, where we mingled with bloggers, sipped cocktails, and learned more about the Sexy Hair products. It was the perfect way to kick off our weekend, and we had such a blast! Take a look at our pictures from Thursday night and stay tuned for more event pictures to come:

One trend we’ve been noticing all over the place, and even more so in LA this past week, is over the shoulder coats. Though the two words “coat” and “Spring” don’t mesh very well in the Texas heat, Spring coats are a big trend for the season. What makes this look different this Spring is the way they are being worn off the shoulders. Though it may seem impractical to wear a coat around your shoulders, as compared to actually keeping your arms within the sleeves, over the shoulder coats give a feminine and sophisticated look to any outfit. See some of our favorite street style looks below and check out our Pinterest page for more over the shoulder coats – Also, be sure to follow us!

This past Thursday, my sisters and I had the pleasure of attending the Brunello Cucinelli grand opening party in his new Highland Park Village location. Brunello Cucinelli started his company in Italy in 1978, and continues to serve as Creative Director and Chairman for his line which specializes in luxury goods for men and women. We had so much fun at the event listening to (the charming) Brunello speak about the history of the company, his inspiration, and how his passions have created this beautiful line of apparel. We fell in love with his newest collections and were inspired to add more neutral tones into our wardrobe for Spring. Take a peek at some of the pictures from the event and be sure check out Brunello Cucinelli’s newest collections below:
