When the word “corduroy” comes to mind, I immediately have a flashback to myself in elementary school playing four-square on the playground. Not to say I wasn’t a super stylish kid, but the fabric seems to have an old-school vibe associated with it. Well say goodbye to the frumpy fits and dull color palettes of the past, and say hello to the hot new cords popping up everywhere this season! The bright colors and trendy skinny-cut lines make these pants a must-have for your closet. Besides, who doesn’t want an easy and fun alternative to jeans?

Sometimes it just feels good to spoil yourself! With the new concept of “blow dry bars” you can enjoy a glass of wine, watch a girly movie, and after about an hour leave with beautiful flowing locks of hair for only $35.
My best friend treated me to a blowout last Saturday and I was a little skeptical at first to pay for someone to blow dry my hair when this is a basic task I do daily. What I didn’t realize was these hair stylists have great training and will wash, blow dry, and curl your hair. My hair looked fabulous all day and I think was a great experience!
Next time you need a mini-makeover, go spend $35 and leave feeling great! Check out three of the many different styles offered:

Channeling Clueless! If you thought plaids disappeared from the fashion scene after the days of 90’s grunge, think again. It’s the perfect mix for the prepsters and the daring this season. Check out a few of my new favorites:

Happy Post Election Day! No matter if you are Republican, Democrat, or Independent we all have one thing in common, we are proud to be an American! As a proud American, I have been thinking how I should take into account more often the importance of buying from US-based companies. Have fun checking out a few of my favorite finds!

This weekend I ventured the Dallas Arboretum to enjoy the warm November weather while admiring the Dale Chihuly glass sculptures.
Although the weather was warm enough to wear a sundress, since it is November I opted for a light weight scarf, a breezy blouse, and some colored jeans. Colored and patterned jeans are the easiest way to jazz up an outfit while still being comfortable and casual.
