Double Layer

Double Layer

Tibi Layered Blouse

Transitioning into Spring comes early in Dallas thanks to the beautiful weather, and this Tibi top (similar) I picked up at Willow Boutique during South Walton Fashion Week is perfect for those warmer days. What I love most about this top is the button detailing on the back of this double layered blouse, and I see this becoming a staple in my wardrobe this Spring. Trend Alert: Feathers

Trend Alert: Feathers

fall 2014 feather trend

Being the girly-girl that I am, I can’t think of a better way to add a little sass to any outfit than with feathers! Feathers are popping up everywhere this season from a dash of feather-trim on a tee to a full on feathered skirt. Feathers are so feminine and flirty, and instantly make any outfit more fun!

For night one of Fashion X Dallas (recap coming soon!), I paired this amazing feather-trimmed blazer with a black mini dress, opaque tights, and platform ankle boots for an updated all-black ensemble. Before the event, we grabbed cocktails at one of our favorite hotels in Dallas, The Stoneleigh, where the drinks are delicious and the decor is even more fabulous! Check out how I channeled this season’s feather trend and shop some of my favorite feather looks below!

Wearing Wedgewood

Wearing Wedgewood

There’s nothing I love more than a calming blue to remind me of summers on the beach watching the beautiful blue waves roll onto the sugar white sand.  The good news is this color combination is becoming more and more popular in the fashion world.   The official term “Wedgewood Blue” takes its name after the classic Wedgwood china pattern.  Check out a few of my favorite items in summer’s newest hot hue:
