If I had the option, I would wear the color black everyday. Excluding the fact that it matches “everything”, black is just such a sophisticated and daring color that gives you a certain attitude unlike any other color. To keep my closet from looking dark and monotonous, I love finding black pieces with a bold shape or interesting fabric that showcases the item, rather than getting lost within the color. This JOA top from Milk & Honey is just that, as the sheer grid-print fabric keeps the hue interesting. The mesh puffed sleeves add an extra dimension to the shirt, which I paired with skinny jeans to balance the oversized shoulders. Following the pearl trend (which we mentioned here), I added a gold and pearl statement necklace for a dressy and feminine touch. When I think of trendy workout wear, Lululemon is always the first to come to mind. Girls (and guys) have fallen in love with their amazing and flattering yoga pants, and their fitness line is the ultimate collection to sport for those active days. Apart from their active lifestyle clothing, did you know that Lululemon reaches beyond fitness, and actually has pieces to wear outside the gym?
Recently Lululemon Northpark hosted an event with a handful of Dallas bloggers to help show that the collection is more than just yoga gear. We all participated in a style challenge to show how we could transition our workout looks for a night out with friends, and I had so much fun with this! With their new collections of dresses like Ashley chose and their adorable crop tops and sweaters, Lululemon now has the ability reach a whole new audience!
For my look I decided to combine three of my favorite trends of the moment: jumpsuits, cut-outs, and the 90s. By steering away from the classic yoga pant, I chose the harem pant and paired them with a cut-out bra for a look which I would wear to a yoga class. To transition from workout to social hour, I paired a flowy black top in the same material as the pant to mimic the look of a jumpsuit, making it appropriate for dinner with friends! To top of the look I tossed a 90’s inspired camo jacket around my waist and a pair of heels to dress it up.
All of the girls from the event had some fabulous looks that I would definitely wear! I was so excited that my outfit won the challenge, and I was given the entire look to take home with me! We all had such a blast at the event, and I have to say I was surprised by how many transitional pieces were in the store. Though I am still a huge sucker for the classic yoga pant, I now will be stocking up on all sorts of new pieces for my everyday wear!

Finding a blouse to wear in the Dallas summer heat isn’t always easy, which is why I’m loving this paisley flowy blouse I picked up at Milk & Honey. The cut out sleeves and open-back make it airy and lightweight, perfect for a summer Texas night! Something about this top reminded me of the 70s, so I paired it with my Lovestory flares and my favorite aviators to top off the vibe. As I mentioned yesterday, I’m trying to get back into the groove of jeans, so stocking up on fun tops will definitely be my shopping goal! Check out my look below:

Every now and then I like to dig through my closet and pull out pieces I haven’t worn in a while and give them a second chance. You’ve heard me say before skinny jeans are not my cup of tea, but when I got this new tie dye flowy tank from Milk & Honey, I knew my zip-side Serfontaine skinnys (similar) with my favorite Gianmarco Lorenzi platforms (try these look for less platforms – LOVE!) would be the perfect way to dress this top up for a night out. I also added this awesome boho coin statement necklace for bold pop against the turquoise. I have to say I loved the skinnys more than I remembered, so I’ll definitely be wearing these again soon.
