I’ve always heard you should never wear white before Easter, but that rule is just a little too old fashioned for me! There’s nothing I love more than a fresh pair of white jeans in the Spring, and since I’m not a huge fan of skinnys, these J Brand flares are perfect for me. I paired them with this new Ella Moss boxy top I snagged recently, and I am loving the contrast of feminine eyelet with rugged chambray. Be sure to keep an eye out for boxy tops this season, as the structured shape gives a polished look with minimal effort – try this, this, this, or this. I finished off the look with my new favorite necklace (also seen here), which I can’t seem to take off!

I’ve always been a big fan of classic shapes and bold prints, which is why Lilly Pulitzer is one of my all-time favorite designers. Lilly has mastered the classic sundress, and I must say I could buy them all! Whether it’s my love for the preppy look or the nostalgia it brings from my days at boarding school, Lilly Pulitzer is my number one designer for Spring. This dress is one of my newest favorites from her collection. The pop of pink on this turquoise dress was what sold me on the print, and I am absolutely loving the exposed zipper on the back! This past Thursday, my sisters and I had the pleasure of attending the Brunello Cucinelli grand opening party in his new Highland Park Village location. Brunello Cucinelli started his company in Italy in 1978, and continues to serve as Creative Director and Chairman for his line which specializes in luxury goods for men and women. We had so much fun at the event listening to (the charming) Brunello speak about the history of the company, his inspiration, and how his passions have created this beautiful line of apparel. We fell in love with his newest collections and were inspired to add more neutral tones into our wardrobe for Spring. This past week, my friends and I traveled down to Cabo San Lucas to celebrate our senior spring break. Though I am thrilled to begin my engineering career next year, I sure am going to miss all of these wonderful breaks I get to enjoy at SMU!
Since we stayed at a large all-inclusive resort last year in Cabo for our break, a group of girls and I decided to take a different route this year and stayed at a beautiful boutique hotel, Cabo Villas, in the heart of the city. Spending 7 days relaxing on the beach sipping pina coladas was definitely my idea of a perfect vacation!
A large portion of our class was down there as well, so we enjoyed hopping around between different resorts and meeting up at Nikki Beach, The Office, and Mango Deck in the evenings. I also really enjoyed our stroll through the harbor to see all the different yachts lined up in the mornings. Overall, we had an amazing time and I definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a beach vacation.
