A little red dress, in my opinion, is just as important as the classic LBD. Finding the perfect one is not always easy, but this lace shift is a new favorite of mine. With the loose fit and lace sleeves, it can easily be dressed up or dressed down for a variety of occasions. For a simple date night look, I paired it with delicate accessories, a gold clutch, and simple Sultana slingbacks. There’s nothing I love more than flares and wide-leg pants, as it’s the easiest way to secretly add a few inches to my frame without calling attention to the five inch heels. One of my biggest weaknesses when it comes to shopping is the unnecessarily large amount of winter coats I decide I “need” to own. Though Dallas is rarely cold enough to actually wear all of these coats, Janie and I found it necessary to rent out a storage unit simply for our winter coats and furs… yes, this is a problem. Anyways, in my opinion, a trendy winter coat is the easiest way to look chic and put together, all while staying warm!
One of my newest favorites is this leather and fur trimmed wool coat, which is the perfect mix of classic and edgy. Since these upcoming months are slammed with traveling, this is the perfect coat to pack for trips to toss on over jeans or a fun dress for a walk around the city. One item that I never leave at home when packing for a trip is a soft gray tee. It’s by far the most versatile item in my closet and always step one for a day of layering. For a cozy mountain day look, I layered an oversized gray blazer (also worn here) over my tee with some over-the-knee boots, jeans, and a classic gray beanie.
