Now that Spring has sprung, I find myself gravitating towards the brighter pieces in my closet. I paired this yellow moto jacket I picked up at a sample sale this year (try this similar one) with a solid tee and my skinny jeans for an afternoon in the park. One of the things I have learned in my life is that every woman needs a good pair of flats in her closet. I am a huge fan of these Prada flats, as they are comfortable, classic, and made of the softest leather.

Since I spend nearly every single day of the week dressed up in heels, there’s nothing that feels better than taking the day off to wear something casual and comfy. An oversized hoodie (try this similar one) with my favorite mini backpack was the perfect combination for an afternoon of roaming Dallas. Maybe it’s a bit of nostalgia, but I’m really loving the backpack comeback – snag this, this, or this if you haven’t found yours already!

This season I am all about crop tops. I just can’t seem to get enough of these for Spring, which is why I am loving this Peter Pilotto for Target crop top I picked up last week. I thought the black and white pattern was perfectly retro when paired with these round sunnies, and I added this orange cross-body bag for a fun pop of color. A good tip to remember when wearing crop tops is to pair it with a high-waist bottom to ensure too much skin isn’t showing. I am also a huge fan of vintage shopping, so when I spotted this vintage leather pencil skirt I knew it was a must for my wardrobe and the perfect skirt for this top. What Spring trends are you loving this year?

One of my favorite wardrobe staples would have to be my Barbour coat. What I love most about this coat is the classic shape that will forever be in style. Normally I pair it with jeans and boots for a sporty Fall look, but I paired it with a casual dress and my favorite ankle booties for a sunny afternoon in Deep Ellum this past weekend. I believe there’s something about the color pink that makes the world a better place, which is obviously why I am head over heels for this pink moto jacket I picked up at Gap (try this similar option). The shape and hue of this jacket add the perfect pop to even the simplest outfit, and I’m trying my hardest NOT to wear it every single day. For a casual Sunday in the Arts District, I paired it with my favorite Lauren Moshi elephant tee (for a hint of good luck) and my J Brand Love Story Flares.
