Every Southern girl knows you should never leave the house without makeup. Whether we stay rooted in that mentality or not, we know taking an extra five minutes in the morning to apply the basic beauty essentials makes a world of a difference. I have a tendency to purchase a plethora of unnecessary cosmetics, but I always find myself using the same products every day.
I am no snob with my products and enjoy a mix of designer and drugstore brands. Eyeliner is my vice, therefore I have tried every brand under the sun: MAC, Bobbi Brown, Serge Lutens, you name it. I was surprised to find, however, the simplest and most inexpensive was my favorite- Revlon ColorStay Eyeliner. If you haven’t tried it, go buy it now. You will thank me later.

Happy 1st birthday to The Perennial Style! I cannot believe it has already been one full year since we started this fashion blogging journey. Thanks to all of our followers and supporters throughout this past year. It has been such a blast! When it comes to birthdays, what better way to celebrate than by donning a wardrobe of sparkles and shine! I plan on rocking these fabulous (and affordable) earrings from Bauble Bar, cheersing with these contemporary glasses from Z Gallerie, lusting over this Philip Armstrong skater dress, and topping it off with some neon pink lipstick – my weakness, of course. Goodbye Emerald! It’s official, Pantone has officially announced its 2014 Color of the Year: Dazzling Blue. Being a fun twist on the classic cobalt, Dazzling Blue is a hot hue that will look fab on almost every skin tone. Whether it be a bold structured tote, fierce stacked ankle booties, or a flouncy flared mini, Dazzling Blue will be making a loud statement in the upcoming year. With only one more day until Fashion Week, we will see if designers channeled the Pantone predictions in their newest runway collections!

Happy Friday friends! Last night we attended the Sewell Lexus Design party at 129 Leslie. This venue is hands down my favorite location in Dallas – flashback to Italian Fashion Week. Beats by Jeff Mitchell, fashion by Stanley Korshak, dinner by Dean Fearing (who can hate the Ritz?), and beautiful Lexus vehicles parked throughout are just some of the exciting ingredients to a fabulous evening! The best part about the whole night was all the proceeds from the party were donated to the charity of your choice!
