We’ve seen the return of many trends over the years, all with mixed reviews in tow, but one trend coming for 2016 is not one we would’ve expected: the wedgie. Yes, the wedgie.
Though the idea of a wedgie doesn’t seem to be the most attractive or comfortable style by choice, Levi’s is making a splash for Spring 2016 with their update on the classic 501’s with their new “Wedgie Jean”. Inspired by the dreaded mom jeans of the past (see SNL clip here), the Wedgie Jean is a striking resemblance to these minivan-chic pants and are already being seen on celebs and models all over.

With a signature waist-hugging fit and cropped legs, this fit is the ultimate update of the vintage Levi’s we’ve seen for quite sometime now. With back pockets that tilt slightly inward to create the ultimate “mom butt” (no, I’m not joking), these new jeans are bringing back a style we never thought could be chic again! Unlike the styles of the past, however, the new Wedgie Jean implements a fit update that cuts back on Khloe Kardashian’s favorite topic of conversation: the camel toe.
