The Best 90’s Jeans For Every Budget

There’s nothing quite like a new season to inspire a new wardrobe, and I couldn’t be more amped for this season’s biggest denim trend: 90s jeans. Last week we shared how throwback trends are having a major moment, and I must say, the denim trends are my ultimate favorite.

I’ve shared for YEARS how skinny jeans are not my favorite (chic, but tight jeans in the Southern heat can be brutal!), so I have always preferred a classic flare over the the cigarette fit. If you’re a fan of flares like me, then adding a pair of loose 90s jeans to your wardrobe will be your best purchase of the season – trust me!

90s jeans (also referred to as dad jeans) have a loose, relaxed, straight fit and ultimate comfort with a classic everyday look. Pair them with a fitted blouse or tank and heels for a tailored look, or style them with sneakers and a casual tee for an easy brunch attire. Best of all, if you’re on the shorter side like I am (5’4), you can get away with the hem bunched up with sneakers to avoid the tailor.

So many designers have rolled out their own version of 90s jeans, so you can easily shop the trend on any budget. In high school, I was a true believer that the best jeans are solely designer jeans – but as I’ve gotten older, I’ve decided you don’t have to spend a lot to get a fabulous pair of denim.

When I try out a new trend, I always like to purchase a “steal” version of the trend to test out how I like the look before I invest in a pricier style, but honestly these $44 Forever 21 jeans may be my new favorite! The denim is a great quality, the fit is perfect, and while this is my first pair of Forever 21 jeans, safe to say I’ll be back for more! They come in so many washes, and I will definitely be ordering another pair.

For splurge-worthy denim, AGOLDE and Good American have the best selection of 90s denim, and Abercrombie and Forever 21 have the best selection under $100.
