Not only is the restaurant an experience in itself, Bear Creek also offers the most charming cottage to rent on property to savor the full experience for a weekend stay.

Bear Creek Smokehouse is a beloved establishment known for its warm and welcoming atmosphere, as well as its mouthwatering BBQ. The restaurant has a rustic charm that adds to its unique appeal, and it’s no surprise travelers visit from all over the world to experience the amazing cuisine and charming atmosphere. Bear Creek has been a local favorite for years and has garnered a reputation for serving some of the best BBQ in the region.

One of the highlights of our weekend at Bear Creek was spending time with the owners, Robbie and Tracy. They went above and beyond to give us a full Texas experience and shared all about the history of the establishment, a tour of the property, let us ride a longhorn (that was a first – highly recommend!), and shared allll of the best meals Bear Creek has to offer. If you have the chance to say hi to the owners over your visit, you will be greeted with the warmest hospitality! We had the absolute best time!

Bear Creek Smokehouse is conveniently located at 10851 US-80 E, Marshall, Texas, making it easily accessible for both locals and travelers passing through the area. If you’re traveling from Dallas, it’s less than a 3 hour drive!

The Cottage:

If you’re traveling to Marshall, Texas, I highly recommend reserving the Bear Creek Cottage at The Creek. The three bedroom home is newly renovated with beautiful furnishings, perfect for a stay with friends or family. The cottage is located conveniently next to the Smokehouse, so you can easily dine next door and cozy up for a relaxing night on the porch with wine and cheese from the Bear Creek General Store.

What to Eat:

Of course, the star attraction at Bear Creek Smokehouse is the BBQ. The restaurant also offers a selection of delicious sides and appetizers to complement your meal, as well as a variety of other entrees for those who prefer something other than BBQ. Food coma should be expected!

The restaurant’s rustic decor and warm atmosphere make it an ideal spot for a cozy dinner with friends or a romantic evening. The staff is friendly and attentive, ensuring that your dining experience is both relaxed and enjoyable.
