The day has finally come, Christian Louboutin is launching Loubibaby baby shoes!
We all have a list of firsts we’ll never forget – our first car, our first day of college, our first job. Well one first that was monumental as a lifelong shoe lover was my first pair of Louboutins. I was visiting Blair at SMU in Dallas during my senior year of boarding school, and my mom bought a pair of black pumps with a gold bow and the essential red sole for me at the Northpark Barneys (RIP, Dallas Barneys). Getting to pick any pair of red sole shoes off of a beautiful display felt like a dream come true – if you know how much I love shoes, you will understand. While it may seem like a lot to spend on a pair of heels, the quality is amazing and I still have them to this day. It was a start of a collection that I have continued (and will continue) to grow for years to come!

While an infant may not remember their first pair of Loubibaby shoes (sad story), the $250 price point of these new kicks makes them a little more reasonable for such a monumental shoe! Imagine looking back at baby portraits and seeing a tiny red sole – seriously, can it get any cuter??

The collection will feature a mary jane style shoe with a bow, and it will be available in red satin, blue satin, and gold nappa laminato. The collection launches on November 16th on goop.com and Goop holiday pop-ups.

Looking put-together while remaining super comfortable is definitely my go-to work week outfit, and this draped blouse from Lyla’s Clothing is the perfect top for achieving this look. Though this top was technically a jacket, I tied it together at the waist and added a small safety pin to transition the piece. A bold print on a classic shape is one of my favorite ways to add a little pop into my look. I love investing in designer pieces that will not go out of style, but can still be dressed up or dressed down depending on the occasion. Last night I paired one of my favorite Lela Rose dresses with a bold statement necklace, a classic black stiletto, and a bright orange clutch to pull out the warm tones of the fabric for the Red Cross YPA kickoff party at Hotel ZaZa. Greetings from New York! The past week has been such an amazing whirlwind up here at New York Fashion Week, and I have had such an incredible time with all of these shows, events, and brand meetings, along with exploring the city with all of my favorite bloggers!
Viewing the Lela Rose runway show yesterday at Lincoln Center was definitely one of my highlights thus far! Since I’ve had the opportunity to work with Lela in the past (see here), I was so excited to get a sneak peek of all of her new designs. From her gorgeous florals to her finely tailored pieces, the show was such a feminine and sophisticated display!
For the event, I wore my leather shift dress with a bold statement necklace and my favorite Louboutins for an early Fall look. One trend I have been seeing a lot (not to mention wearing quite a lot!) is leather: pants, tops, skirts, dresses, you name it. It’s safe to say those splurge pieces you snagged last year are good for another season!
Another trend that I keep spotting around New York is braids! Whether you choose a side fishtail braid like mine (courtesy of Tresemme) or a cool braided up-do, this hair trend is definitely one to try out this season for a bold and fun new look!
