Whether Dallas was unusually warm last year OR my travel schedule constantly kept me in tropical climates (I think it was the latter), my sweater section was definitely lacking at the start of this season. There’s nothing I love more than tossing on a cozy knit with jeans and booties for a Fall day, so I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect sweaters to pull me through the season.
One of my favorite sweaters I’ve found so far is this oversized one from Express. It’s sooo comfy, plus I love how the length is perfect for leggings too. It comes in multiple colors, but the beige and hot pink are my favorites! Whether you’re dressing for a night out or a cozy day of Netflix, you will not want to take this one off!
From cable knits to oversized pullovers, I’ve rounded up 10 of my favorite cozy sweaters under $100 for you to shop! Best of all, a lot of these come in a variety of colors – so be sure to click on the link to see styles!
A little red dress, in my opinion, is just as important as the classic LBD. Finding the perfect one is not always easy, but this lace shift is a new favorite of mine. With the loose fit and lace sleeves, it can easily be dressed up or dressed down for a variety of occasions. For a simple date night look, I paired it with delicate accessories, a gold clutch, and simple Sultana slingbacks. I also plan to wear it with casual sandals, a boho necklace, and oversized tote for a perfect summer look for the beach. Check out my little red dress below and shop the links to get the look:
My weekend uniform in the Fall is definitely a sweater, jeans, and boots. It’s easy, cozy, and perfectly casual for weekend wear. I love finding cozy casuals with a bit of embellishment for an added accessory, without having to pile on the jewelry. This embellished sweater I snagged recently is such an updated basic, and pairing it with my new coated jeans was an easy look for a chilly weekend afternoon in the city. One trend we cannot stop craving this season is definitely leather. Whether you choose a full-on leather look like Ellen or decide to add subtle hints into your look like I did, leather will definitely give your look a simple yet bold kick for Fall. Finding an awesome pair of jeans at an incredible price is often a rarity, so when I found these distressed leather-trimmed skinnys, I knew I had to have them. I paired them with my leather-trimmed top and my Gorjana earrings for a fun birthday night look! See how I styled this bold trend below and shop my links beneath to steal my look:
Over the past three weeks, I have been enjoying an amazing final summer vacation before beginning the “real world” next Monday with my new career. Mid-June, I left Destin, FL to visit my boyfriend in Los Gatos, CA. While visiting him, we traveled up to Lake Tahoeand to Kailua-Kona on the Big Island of Hawaii.
Lake Tahoe
We spent a long weekend at the Ritz Carlton Lake Tahoe for a friends wedding weekend. We stayed on the North Shore and it was an amazing experience. We spent our free time primarily relaxing at the Ritz spa, doing some light hiking, and playing lawn games. As for the wedding, we went to Lahontanthe night before the wedding for a cocktail party. After being in hot Dallas and Florida, it was nice to feel the cool air while standing by the fire. The following day, we went to West Shore Café and Inn where the wedding and the reception was held. The venue was on the water and was absolutely gorgeous!
Following Lake Tahoe, we had a quick stopover in my boyfriend’s hometown of Los Gatos, CA before we headed to Kukio on the Big Island of Hawaii. Since I had never been to the Big Island before, I was excited to see what it was like. Kevin’s family goes to the island often, so they planned such a fun variety of activities and excursions for me to soak in as much culture of the island as possible! Two of my highlights from the trip were a helicopter tourof the island and snorkeling with the manta rays. The three hour helicopter tour (that picked us up directly from the resort) was a great way to see the volcanoes, valleys, beaches, and waterfalls all before lunch. Snorkling with the manta ray’s was also amazing! We saw about 20 manta rays and rubbed bellies with a couple of them… definitely an experience I will not forget. I also loved all of the activities offered at the resort. While there, I paddle boarded, kayaked, swam with the dolphins, played golf, tennis, and took a spinning class. There was never an excuse to be bored at Kukio!
