Now that overalls have made a big comeback in the fashion world, I can see why I lived in these things in the 90s. Not only do they match every top in my closet, but the comfort level is out of this world. I snagged these denim overalls (now 50% off!) from Express earlier this year, and I have fallen in love with them. My piece of advice when wearing overalls is to be sure to pair them with bold accessories and/or a feminine top to keep a girly look. #rSthecon – rewardStyle’s “The Conference” took place in Dallas this past weekend, and we were so excited that we were able to attend this year. The Conference was held at the Joule Hotel and was one of the most fabulous events we have attended yet. Friday morning we gathered at the Joule to meet with 22 brands (such as Piperlime, Kendra Scott, Nordstrom, French Connection, ASOS, Nasty Gal, and plenty more!) to learn more about their brand and how they worked with bloggers. Lunch was held at the original Neiman Marcus downtown, which was complete with everything pink and feminine! Later that evening we all met downtown at The Eye for a picture-perfect happy hour hosted by Kate Spade. Day 1 was definitely a success, and we had so much fun with all of our new blogger friends!

We all gathered at the Joule again on Saturday morning for a full day of meetings to learn more about the industry. The rewardStyle speakers were so informative, and we were so excited for all of the new tips and information we took away from the day! Lunch was hosted on the terrace by Express, where we got an inside look into their new runway campaign (keep an eye out for Kate Uptown next season!). That night, we were so excited to be a part of The Outnet’s 5th Anniversary party at St. Ann in uptown and loved seeing the premiere of their new video campaign starring Amber Venz of Venzedits, Wendy of Wendy’s Lookbook, Helena of Brooklyn Blonde, Jessica of Tuula Vintage, and Aimee of Song of Style.
Since so many bloggers traveled from all over the world to come to Dallas for the conference, the weekend was wrapped up with a full Texas experience luncheon on Sunday – and what better place than Southfork Ranch where “Dallas” is filmed! With live country music, corn hole, a bloody mary bar, mechanical bull, and a hay ride (which was an absolute blast), the afternoon was such a perfect way to conclude a fashionable and fabulous weekend! I’ve always heard you should never wear white before Easter, but that rule is just a little too old fashioned for me! There’s nothing I love more than a fresh pair of white jeans in the Spring, and since I’m not a huge fan of skinnys, these J Brand flares are perfect for me. I paired them with this new Ella Moss boxy top I snagged recently, and I am loving the contrast of feminine eyelet with rugged chambray. Be sure to keep an eye out for boxy tops this season, as the structured shape gives a polished look with minimal effort – try this, this, this, or this. I finished off the look with my new favorite necklace (also seen here), which I can’t seem to take off!

When I think of a navy dress and a denim jacket, the word classic comes to mind. Despite all the fads that come and go, these are two items that always remain in style. What I love most about this look is this After Pant’s Paris jacket I snagged at Gregory’s a couple years ago. The jacket maintains the same all-American look of denim, but the padded shoulders gives it an updated twist – see this similar one I found for the look for less. I paired it with this fun and flirty seamed skirt dress for drinks in the Arts District with a girlfriend.
